We’re always working overtime to make Twitch the best place to broadcast your games. We recently made a major update to our VoD infrastructure that we think you’ll love: you can now create highlights that bridge a file boundary.
Previously, it was impossible to highlight a game if that happened to be split across two different files, which are normally about two hours long. Now, even if a new game starts 1 hour and 55 minutes into a broadcast, for example, you can create a highlight that will bridge the end of the current file AND the beginning of the new one.
Another benefit of the new system is that highlights are created instantly. No more waiting for processing before you can view them.
Note that we’ve streamlined the process via your channel’s dashboard. You’ll need to be logged into that particular account or marked as an editor of that channel in order to make highlights in the dashboard.
As always, we’d love your feedback.
