It’s a wide world of gaming out there. We would know. And keeping up with new releases can be overwhelming. Especially those from smaller developers. Well, prepare to be overwhelmed no more.
Introducing the Twitch Indie Spotlight, a special promotions program designed to help smaller game publishers and developers build an indie community on Twitch, and to help viewers discover something new.
Starting this July, Twitch will give an indie developer the chance to highlight a game every month. You’ll be able to watch featured streams, hear from the developers, and check out the game in action right here on Twitch.
The first game in the Indie Spotlight is Vainglory. A new MOBA designed specifically for touch interfaces like iOS and Android. In fact, it was so well designed it received an Apple Design Award at WWDC 2015.
We’ll be celebrating it’s global release LIVE on July 1st with a 24 hour stream. The first two hours will be broadcast directly from Twitch HQ where the developers will take on players from across the globe. We’ll continue the spotlight throughout the month with exclusive streams showcasing the game and all it’s innovative touchy features.
